He's my man

 *"He's My Man."*

Lena stood at the edge of the dance floor, her eyes locked on James. The lights of the club reflected off his polished shoes as he moved with the rhythm, effortlessly charming the crowd around him. His smile, warm and inviting, was the same one that had captivated her from the moment they met.

James was everything Lena had ever wanted—kind, strong, and endlessly supportive. But tonight, as she watched him, a shadow of doubt crossed her mind. He was surrounded by people, women and men alike, all drawn to his easy charisma. She had never been the jealous type, but seeing the way they looked at him made her heart tighten with an unfamiliar insecurity.

Lena took a deep breath and stepped onto the dance floor, determined to shake off the unease. As she made her way toward him, their eyes met. James’s expression softened, and in that moment, all her doubts melted away. He reached out to her, his hand warm and steady as it wrapped around hers.

"Hey," he said, pulling her close as they swayed to the music. "You okay?"

Lena nodded, resting her head against his chest. "Yeah, I just… I guess I needed a reminder."

James chuckled softly, his breath warm against her ear. "A reminder of what?"

"That you’re mine," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the music.

James stopped moving and tilted her chin up so their eyes met again. "Lena, I’ve always been yours. From the moment we met, I knew it was you. There’s no one else I’d rather be with."

Her heart swelled at his words. She knew he meant them. James wasn’t just saying what she wanted to hear—he was telling her the truth.

The song changed, and the crowd around them began to cheer as the tempo picked up. But Lena and James stayed locked in their own world, oblivious to everything else. He held her close, his arms wrapped around her as if he never wanted to let go.

"I’m sorry," Lena said, her voice thick with emotion. "I guess I just get scared sometimes."

"Hey," James said, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "It’s okay to be scared. But remember this—I’m your man, Lena. I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere."

She smiled through the tears that had begun to form in her eyes. "Promise?"

"Promise," he said, sealing the vow with a kiss.

As they danced, Lena’s heart felt lighter. She realized that it wasn’t just about having James by her side—it was about trusting that what they had was real and strong enough to weather any storm.

In that moment, surrounded by the music and the laughter of others, Lena knew that she had nothing to fear. James was hers, and she was his. And that was all that mattered.
